What is Monitoring and Patrolling?

  • a group that will guard a specific area such as ancestral domain or natural heritage for threats and security solution
  • they are called as “Bantay Bukid"

What to wear and bring:

  • field attire, leggings, trek pants
  • dry bag with sunblock, water bottle
  • rubber shoes, boots, cap, hat
  • raincoat or umbrella
  • extra clothes and attire
  • tent, sleeping bags

What to prepare: 

  • the volunteer should be physically fit and willing
  • will be taught the information and details of the trail
  • have field attires and equipment

Schedule:

  • monitoring in the field will depend on the Bantay Bukid schedule and availability
  • overnight field is expected

Details:

  • free food and transportation
  • field guides will be present
