EGIP Foundation Inc. commits to support the conservation of the environment and all life forms within that have emerged over millions of years of evolution. EGIPF believes that alleviating poverty of indigenous people living in or near natural habitats is crucial as such conditions could potentially lead to increased deterioration of the environment.
The EGIP Foundation Inc. was established in 2010 by Dr. Hubertus van Dierendonck, Founder and CEO of Euro Generics International Philippines Inc. It has been registered as a non-government organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission since June 21, 2010.
EGIPF primary objective is to support the indigenous communities in the uplands of Davao City in protecting, rehabilitating, and reforesting their ancestral forests. The other main objective is to provide sustainable lively hood to the convened communities by providing support for agroforestry development in suitable areas.
EGIPF is accredited to the Davao City Development Council pursuant to the Local Government Code and as promulgated in DILG Memorandum Circular No.2019-72 dated May 22, 2019, and Davao City Ordinance 0113-03. It is also an active member of Sustainable Davao Movement-a loose network of environmental multi-sectoral organizations, whose mission is to advocate for a sustainable living in Davao City.
