About BARK Mission Inc: We promote and work with Filipino artists and animal lovers to efficiently rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray or neglected cats and dogs, and promote spay and neuter efforts to create a safe environment for both people and animals to live in.
What we're looking for: BARK Mission Inc. is looking for a volunteer who has experience as a corporate secretary of a SEC registered non-stock corporation. Tasks of the Corporate Secretary would include:
Directing the efforts of the organization to comply with all requirements of the Securities Exchange Commission
Maintaining corporate records and holding members accountable for their tasks
Documenting and filing minutes of board meetings
Scheduling and notifying board members of upcoming meetings
Writing and distributing meeting minutes

The ability to communicate with a varied group of people. A nonprofit secretary needs to communicate with all board members effectively.
The ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Boards often have many tasks that they have to prioritize, rather than doing everything at once.
The ability to take a project and run with it. Often, it is the secretary who is responsible for managing projects, and will need to do it on their own.
The ability to organize a lot of tasks at once. A nonprofit secretary doesn’t just have to manage their own tasks, but also the tasks of other people.
