Once again, Our City will commemorate the 30th Marikina Police Memorial Day set on the morning of 10 September 2017 Sunday, but compared to our past commemorations where we honor our departed policemen who dedicated their lives in service to our City, this year’s commemoration will be a bit different, thanks to the support and approval of our City Mayor Hon. MARCELINO “Marcy” REYES TEODORO to our proposal which is the “Civic Action Team of Marikina-Recognition of Outstanding Public Safety Personnel Awards 2017” we will honor as well the living by awarding our City’s Finest Public Safety Personnel whom have shown determination and passion to serve selflessly and go above and beyond the call of duty.
Awardees are recommended by their Respective Department Chiefs/Heads, based on their performance and record of exemplary service, coming from different departments under our City namely;
- Philippine National Police (PNP)-Marikina City Police Station
- Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Marikina City Fire Station
- Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Marikina City Jail Male & Female Dormitory
- Marikina City Office of Public Safety and Security (OPSS)
- City Transportation Management amd Development Office/Traffic Management and Enforcement Division (CTMDO-TMED)
- Bantay Bayan
- Marikina City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office(MCDRRMO)-Rescue 161
Marikina Police Memorial Day is an annual commemoration of the City of Marikina, organized by the Civic Action Team of Marikina in collaboration with the City Government of Marikina and Marikina Police. Proven to be one of a kind nationwide, our commemoration will start at 06:00AM (assembly at Marikina Freedom Park) with a public parade participated by our City Officials, City Personnel, Uniformed Personnel, different NGO’s based in our City, Students from different schools citywide, and the People of Marikina, from Marikina Freedom Park (In front of Marikina City Hall) to Marikina Police Memorial Monument in Loyola Memorial Park in A. Bonifacio Avenue Barangay Tañong Marikina City where a program will start right away.
LA LIGA MARIQUINA INC., is a partner organization of the Civic Action Team of Marikina Incorporated, and one of the designated organization tasked to assist on the preparation and implementation of the program.
