Climate change is a global problem with grave implications: environmental, social, economic, political and for the distribution of goods. It represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day.
To address the climate change challenges, NACCI-NGO adopted the Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-AO3 Revised ENGP). The objective is to sustainably manage, protect and conserve the country’s forest resources while reducing poverty, promoting food security, environment stability and adaptation, and providing a favorable investment environment with adequate environment, cultural and social safeguards; enhancing the participation of local stakeholders through the implementation and expansion of NGP.
The Mangrove Conservation Leadership Training will empower and capacitate the local fishing community on the knowledge of mangrove ecosystem and biodiversity, importance and services, challenges and solutions, policies, climate change, community benefits and conservation.
