What is a Lightning Talk?
A Lightning Talk is a very short presentation, lasting only a few minutes, given at a conference or a similar forum. For this Lightning Talk, speakers are given 15 minutes to cover their topic, and the audience is provided 5 minutes to ask questions or share their insights to the rest of the group. All Lightning Talks feature the unique volunteer journeys of invited guests, with the hope that they inspire others to also take on the challenge of volunteering for nation building.
Who is Kritzia Santos?
Kritzia Santos is the Co-Founder of Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid (2KK) and Founder of Anchored Philippines. She has a Masters in Community Development in UP Diliman and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Melbourne.
Who is Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid (2KK)?
Formed in 2003, 2KK believes that through acts of kindness, no matter how small, great and lasting changes can be made. 2KK aspires to show the youth that there is hope despite the injustice, apathy and mediocrity that poverty has created. Armed with God’s love, our goal is to create opportunities that allow the youth to do something now by sharing their own blessings and talents and being the “change they want to see in the world.” (Gandhi)
Our dream is to make it possible for the underprivileged but deserving youth of today to receive the education they need for a better life and brighter future and to inspire them to share their God-given gifts to their community.
