Support our English Literacy Program. We want to see our scholar's growth and we need volunteer testers to help us.
About the Project
Founded in 2008, Binhi English Literacy Foundation Inc. (BINHI) aims to improve English reading skills to identified non- and frustrated readers aged between 5-8 years old in public elementary schools and community centers.
The program runs for 24 weeks. Pupils are tested three times during the program period: pre-test, mid-test, and post-test. We are halfway our program, and thus, we are preparing for the mid-test. Tester volunteers will help in the conduct of one-on-one test with Kindergarten to Grade 2 pupils aged 5-8 from their chosen schedule from January 13-24. Each test is expected to last around 10-20 minutes. A virtual orientation will be conducted on January 4, 2025 (Saturday); 1:00 PM.
This sign-up is specifically for the orientation, which is a prerequisite for becoming a tester. Separate sign-up links for the testing schedules will be posted on a later date.
Qualifications and Requirements
Before becoming a BINHI Tester, one must pass the following criteria:
- an advocate of literacy and independent learning with keen observation skills
- can listen and pay attention to important details
- willing to attend a virtual orientation prior the schedule on January 4, 2025 (Saturday); 1:00 - 3:00 PM
- willing to commit at least 3 hours of his/her time based on your chosen schedule/s from January 13 to 24
- willing to travel in any of the following areas: Calamba City, Manila City, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Pasig City, and Quezon City
