Heads up Volunteers from Davao Region!
iVolunteer Philippines is looking for Volunteer Managers to support its operations in Mindanao.
Since its inception, iVolunteer’s activities were mostly centralized in Metro and Mega Manila. However, in order to reach iVolunteer’s DREAM of having Every Filipino Volunteering towards Nation-Building, it is imperative to start building our volunteer communities in other regions in the country.
The project will last for three (3) months and will focus on the activation and management of iVolunteer's volunteer groups in Mindanao.
Role description:
Align, develop, and implement iVolunteer’s programs and initiatives to reach more volunteers.
Foster an active and engaged iVolunteer’s Volunteer Community in Mindanao.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner communities, local agencies, and academic institutions through volunteer engagement and development.
Bring insights from the volunteers into iVolunteer for possible programs and events.
Engage with iVolunteer Internal Team for the strategic direction on the development and expansion in the region.
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops for volunteers.
Maintain records, event documentation, and related administrative tasks and reporting to track impact and progress.
Manage the overall implementation of at least one (1) external event that will promote volunteerism and engage volunteers.
Competencies Required:
Applicant should be at least 18 years old
Preferably residing in Davao City or within Davao Region and amenable to travel, when needed e.g., onsite community visit, event, team meeting, among others
Good oral and written communication in Filipino, English and the Local Language
Willing to go on field work
Have knowledge or volunteer experience in Mindanao
Has the passion to promote volunteerism in the country
Works effectively in a virtual organization with a start-up culture
Open to team collaboration and can also work independently with minimal supervision
Willing to work with a diverse, dynamic, and passion-driven team
Volunteers who will sign up for the role shall be scheduled for a short online interview between September 9 - 12, 2024. Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for the Online Orientation on September 15, 2024.
