In calamities such as fire, flood, earthquakes etc. , we always notice alot of aide and assistance given to people, relief goods, food trucks and donation mainly focus on prioritizing humans. Although helping humans is a good thing we cant help but ask, who stands for the animals who are also victims of these calamities?
Be an advocate for animal welfare!
The Disaster Risk Response Team will be distributing food and supplements for animals, will practice first aide, do rounds of ocular inspections etc.
We are still gathering volunteers and will be conducting a meeting for further assessment.
Since this volunteer oppurtunity might be mentally challenging, we suggest to check within yourself if you are in the proper mental state to volunteer.
NOTE: We will only proceed to the site once we are granted entry by authorities (911, Fire Department, Barangay Officials etc.). Team leaders will be with you every step of the way. Safety , precaution and teamwork will be practiced.
To anyone who is willing to sign up, we will conduct a meeting before operations will start.
Meeting will be at September 1 and Registrations will close at August 31.
