Lingkod Bayanihan, A One-Day Volunteer Service Project  

ATTENTION: Due to unavoidable circumstances explained to us by the administration of Christian Compassion Ministries - Residential Care Program, which caters to boys and girls, we need to reschedule this event. Originally planned for June 29, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, it will now be held on August 20, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday. The administration apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and is deeply sorry for the rescheduling.

What:  

Inspired by the belief that long-lasting and impactful service requires a coordinated effort, Lingkod Bayanihan gathers volunteers for a day of service.

Aral Pinoy visits the Christian Compassion Ministries - Residential Care Program that cater to boys and girls who are physically and/or sexually abused, neglected and abandoned.  

  • Girls' Home: Lot 1-5 CCMFI Bldg., Compassion Street, Metro Executive Homes, Maries Village II, Bgy. Mayamot , Antipolo City.
  • Boys' Home: Lot 4 Blk 3 Milflores Street, Antipolo Valley Subdivision, Bgy. Mambugan, Antipolo City

When:  

0800 AM estimated time of departure (ETD) from Meeting Place: the Shrine and Parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus - Antipolo City (in front of SM City Masinag)

  • 0815 AM Heading to CCM - Residential Care Program Girls' Home
  • 0830 AM estimated time of arrival (ETA) to  CCM - Residential Care Program Girls' Home
  • 0830 - 930 AM Community Immersion / Breakfast with the Girls
  • 0930 AM Heading to CCM - Residential Care Program Boys' Home
  • 0945 AM estimated time of arrival (ETA) to  CCM - Residential Care Program Boys' Home
  • 0945  - 1045  AM Community Immersion / Snacks with the Boys
  • 1045 AM Heading to SM City Masinag
  • 1100 AM estimated time of arrival (ETA) to  SM City Masinag / Lunch

What do I need to do during Community Immersion?

  • Storytelling,  Art Lessons, etc.
  • Bonding through Fun, Games and Food
  • Gift-giving

What do I need to give or what can I ask from my friends to give?

  • Food during Community Immersion

For the Girls:

  • 20 pcs dress (for school & Church service) Ages 10 -14
  • 20 sandals
  • 20 slippers
  • curtains (15pcs-green, 15pcs-yellow, 15pcs-pink, 15pcs-blue)
  • 10 sets bed sheets with pillow cases and blankets (10pcs-green, 10pcs-yellow, 10pcs-pink)
  • 1 Volleyball ball
  • 5 sets of badminton rackets and shuttlecock for recreation

For the Boys:

  • black pants (for school & Church service) 4 pcs/pairs - Size 14 / XL - Age 10 to 11 years - Waist 26.5 to 28 inches /  4 pcs/pairs - Size 16 / XXL - Age 11 to 12 years - Waist 28 to 29.5 inches / 4 pcs/pairs - Size18 / XXXL - Age 12 to 13 years - Waist 29.5 to 31 inches
  • 12 slippers
  • 12 rubber shoes
  • curtains (15pcs-green, 15pcs-yellow, 15pcs-pink, 15pcs-blue)
  • 12 pillows
  • 12 sets bed sheets with pillow cases and blankets (12pcs-blue)
  • 1 basketball ball

What do I need to know and prepare?

  • Time Schedules - Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) and Expected Time of Departure (ETD) to and from the site
  • Point of departure and areas to visit
  • Necessary and miscellaneous expenses
  • Proper and appropriate clothing
  • Packed food (baon) if applicable, other food and drinking water
  • Discipline and behavior protocol during the trip and at the site
  • Ensure that all volunteers are in good health
  • Ensure that all volunteers are informed of the Lingkod Bayanihan Rules/Guidelines
  • In case of emergency, Lingkod Bayanihan's representative will contact Emergency Contact Person of the volunteer

What is the minimum public health standards?

  • Continue observing proper health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the community
  • Please present a valid ID and your vaccination card.
  • Wear face masks at all times
  • Wash hands as frequently as possible

How much is the service transportation fee?

  • ₱250 is the cost of service transportation fee from the Shrine and Parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, then to CCM - Residential Care Program Girls' Home, then to Boys' Home, then back to SM City Masinag
  • To confirm your participation, please send the full payment of ₱250 via GCash at 09178661006
  • In case of unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from joining, you will be eligible for a reimbursement of ₱150, and the remaining ₱100 will help offset the cost of renting transportation for those who will attend

How much pocket money should I bring?

  • Food is KKB. The estimate food allowance is ₱300 (personal money)
