Volunteer Event
Support our English Literacy Program. We want to see our scholar's growth and we need volunteer testers to help us.
About the Project
Founded in 2008, Binhi English Literacy Foundation Inc. (BINHI) aims to improve English reading skills to identified non- and frustrated readers aged between 5-8 years old in public elementary schools and community centers.
The program runs for 24 weeks. Pupils are tested three times during the program period: pre-test, mid-test, and post-test. We are almost done with our program, and thus, we are preparing for the post-test. Tester volunteers will help in the conduct of one-on-one test with Kindergarten to Grade 1 pupils aged 5-7 from their chosen schedule from April 22 to May 2. Each test is expected to last around 20-30 minutes. A virtual orientation will be given prior the schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements
Before becoming a BINHI Tester, one must pass the following criteria:
- an advocate of literacy and independent learning with keen observation skills
- can listen and pay attention to important details
- willing to attend a virtual orientation prior the schedule (details will be sent via email)
- willing to commit at least 2 hours of his/her time based on your chosen schedule/s from April 22 to May 2
- willing to travel in any of the following areas: Calamba City, Manila City, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Pasig City, Quezon City
