As a fulfillment of the organization’s Angat Edukasyon core advocacy, ANGATlatan is conceived to mitigate the ongoing problem of learning poverty by providing a nine-day basic Filipino literacy training in a non-formal education setting for out-of-school youths aged 5–10.
This program is a nine-week Sunday program comprising the following components. The first day is dedicated to the kick-off ceremony and administering a pre-assessment test. The second to seventh days are for the conduct of grouped and individual learning sessions using the Marungko approach. The eighth day is for the administering of the post-assesment test. Finally, the program concludes on the ninth day with a culminating activity and the administering of post-assessment test
