Kythe Online Playdates are designed to make room for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses to learn, play, and grow despite their condition.
Join our team of volunteers who create online playdate modules for children 3-6 years old with cancer and other chronic illnesses:
Preferably with background in teaching kids, lesson planning, module creation for kids, creating activities for kids
Can commit within the given schedule (see below)
As part of the volunteer team, you will have an opportunity to see the module you created in an actual playdate.
Tools needed:
Desktop/laptop and stable internet connection
Google Sheet and Google Docs
Zoom
Facebook Messenger
Canva Pro
Expected Output: 1-Hour module with the following program flow:
Mood check
Music and movement
Main activity (ex. Games, Storytelling, Science Experiment, Arts and crafts, etc.)
Feedback (5-point likert scale)
Closing Activity
Schedule:
October 7 - 10:00 am - 12:00 nn - Orientation and training
October 14 - 8:30 am - 10:00 am - Observation of an actual preschool playdate
October 31 - Deadline of module output
