PEARLS Monthly Feed for the Homeless!

Every last Saturday of the month, Project PEARLS will go to the City of Manila and distribute hot meals to children and their families who are living on the streets. They are among the most vulnerable during these trying times, and we want to let them know that they are seen, heard, cared for, and loved through this program. Additionally, we strongly encourage volunteers to bring snacks, toiletries, coloring books and crayons for the kids to supplement the distribution.

As a volunteer, you will be assigned to any of the following tasks: food preparation, set-up, distribution, and cleaning up.

Join us in the spirit of Bayanihan by giving them the joy and hope!

• 9:00 am, in front of Project PEARLS - Headquarters.

• Jay-R at 0956 142 4296. Please message one of them at least a day before so you can be informed of any last-minute announcements. Kindly mention that you got her number from the iVolunteer website.
• Once you are included to volunteer for this date, it is already given that you may attend. No need to wait for a text message for another confirmation. 
   

The flow of the PEARLS Monthly Feed for the Homeless is as follows:

• 09:00 AM - Meet-up with volunteers
• 10:00 AM - Briefing and preparations
• 10:15 AM - Packing of Meals
• 12:00 NN - Departure for the first stop
• 12:45 AM - Second Stop
• 1:30 PM - Third Stop
• 2:00 PM - End of Distribution & Group Picture

• To commute: 
       Option 1:
  
  • Get off at LRT-1 Yamaha Monumento Station
  • Proceed to UNCLE JOHN, there's a trike terminal next to the store
  • Ride a Trike to P. Zamora (Look for 168 - Big Blue Gate)
    
    Option 2:
  • Get off at LRT-1 5th Avenue Station
  • Proceed to ANDOK's, there's a trike terminal next to the store
  • Ride a Trike to P. Zamora (Look for 168 - Big Blue Gate)
     
• Please text Jay-R - 0956 142 4296,  once you have reach the Project PEARLS HQ - 168 P. Zamora St., blue gate. Just wait outside area or look for Juan Villa.
   
• As a precautionary measure during this COVID-19 threat, we are checking all people entering the courtyard with an infrared thermometer. Please bring alcohol/alcogel. If you have a cold or cough, we discourage you from attending.
   
• There is limited to no parking space in the area.
