Volunteer Event
Support our English Literacy Program. We wish to celebrate the achievements of the BINHI English Literacy Program and we need a volunteer writer to help us cover this event.
About the Project
Founded in 2008, Binhi English Literacy Foundation Inc. (BINHI) aims to improve English reading skills to identified non- and frustrated readers aged between 4-9 years old in public elementary schools and community centers.
Every year, we celebrate the achievements of the BINHI English Literacy Program with our supporters. Through our partners, we are able to help more Filipino kids learn how to read using Science of Reading (SOR)-aligned practices.
This year, we are looking for a volunteer writer to cover this event and represent BINHI through a short article that would be published in newsletters and other publications.
Qualifications and Requirements
Before becoming a BINHI Volunteer Writer, one must pass the following criteria:
- an advocate of literacy and independent learning with keen observation skills
- must be a previous/current BINHI volunteer who is familiar with the BINHI program
- must be a writer with prior experience in covering NGO events
- willing to commit at least 1.5 hours of his/her time on June 27
- willing to travel to Makati City
Expect to receive an email at least 3 days prior to the commitment date with the rest of the details.
