As we celebrate the Pride Month, ANGAT Lahat - Malabon will conduct a one-day program entitled “BINHI: MAKIBEKI, ‘WAG MASHOKOT”, an advocacy program that aims to support the LGBTQ+ in the community by raising awareness of their basic rights and significant roles in the society.
This program will focus on four things. First, the program will kickstart with a Pride parade along the vicinity that will amplify the calls for gender equality and recognition. The second part of the program will be a seminar related to the history of Pride Movement, the importance of SOGIESC and Safe Spaces Act, and the recognition of queer communities’ active role in developing our society. Third, a livelihood training workshop will be conducted in order to further hone the skills of our participants and to provide livelihood opportunities for them. In the last part of the program, our organization and our partners will provide free beauty, legal, and medical services to all our participants. After the program, an evaluation will be conducted.
