Volunteer Event
Rationale:
The Madaris Volunteer Program (MVP) aims to engage volunteers in promoting peace through education and transformative encounters in Madaris (Islamic educational institutions). To enhance the program's reach and impact, the MVP will open short-term volunteer opportunities through the MVP Ambassador Program with a primary focus on social media advocacy. The MVP Ambassador will promote the advocacy of the MVP by leveraging social media platforms to increase awareness, recruit volunteers, and foster community engagement. By accepting and training the ambassadors about the advocacy of MVP, we can create a strong online presence, expand our reach, and make a lasting impact on education in Madaris. The successful implementation of this project will contribute to building a national network of individuals passionate about supporting peacebuilding through education, dialogue, and friendship.
MVP Ambassador's Role and Responsibilities:
As an MVP Ambassador, you will be tasked to advocate for Peacebuilding through education, dialogue, and friendship, which is the main mission of the Madaris Volunteer Program in your community and through your social media accounts. By Being an MVP Ambassador, you will be able to promote cultural and religious inclusivity while reducing prejudices and discrimination based on religion and culture.
MVP Ambassador Qualification:
- Open to learn more about different cultures and religions.
- Interested or have a passion for advocacy in education and intercultural and interfaith dialogue.
- Have access to social media platforms.
Orientation and Session on the Culture of Peace and the Dialogue of Life and Faith: July 8, 2023, via Zoom.
The orientation session sets the stage for MVP Ambassadors to effectively promote the program on social media platforms, ensuring you are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and understanding of the program's objectives and values. After the Orientation, there will also be a session on the Culture of Peace and the Dialogue of Life and Faith. This establishes a strong foundation for your ambassadorship journey, enabling you to confidently engage with the online community, create compelling content, and contribute to the success and impact of the Madaris Volunteer Program.
Time Commitment:
Volunteering is an act of generosity; therefore, we offer flexible time commitments to accommodate your schedule. Your involvement will be greatly appreciated if you can dedicate a few hours each week or contribute on a project-by-project basis.
