Who are we?

Child Hope Field of Dreams Children's Home, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Tutors. As a Volunteer Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children by providing academic support and mentorship.

Responsibilities

1. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for children residing at Child Hope Field of Dreams Children's Home.
2. Assist children with homework assignments, reading comprehension, writing skills, math problems, and other academic areas as needed.
3. Develop personalized lesson plans based on the child's academic needs and goals.
4. Offer guidance and encouragement to help children build confidence in their abilities.
5. Serve as a positive role model and mentor by promoting good study habits, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
6. Collaborate with the organization's staff to track and monitor the academic progress of the children.
7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all Child Hope Field of Dreams Children's Home policies and guidelines.

Requirements

1. Passion for working with children and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Proficiency in the subject areas you wish to tutor (e.g., math, English, science).
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles.
5. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
6. Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.

Time Commitment

Volunteer Tutors are expected to commit to a minimum 4 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible and will be determined based on your availability and the needs of the children.
