As a MapaKalamidad.ph Volunteer Trainer, you get to enjoy the following perks:
Join a network of barangay/community-based leaders from all over the Philippines committed to disaster risk reduction;
Receive formal training from us on how to use the MapaKalamidad.ph platform in order to reduce risk in times of disasters;
Learn new skills through exclusive workshops hosted by various experts;
Gain access to financial grants and other resources to support your Disaster Risk Reduction initiative;
Receive a Volunteer Trainers kit from us including MapaKalamidad.ph exclusive merch!
This position can be VIRTUAL or IN-PERSON anywhere in the Philippines. To become a Volunteer Trainer, you only have to:
Submit a disaster simulation report to MapaKalamidad.ph. Make sure to write “[Your FIRST NAME LAST NAME] 4 DRR” in the description box! (Don't know how to report? Don't worry, you can check out tinyurl.com/mpkreport to find out how!)
Teach 10 friends how to make disaster simulation reports, just like you did in step 1. Guide them through the process in a virtual session or in real life, and make sure that they write “#DRR Trainer [Your FIRST NAME LAST NAME] trained me” in the description box. They should put *your name* in the description, not their name, so we know who the Volunteer Trainer is!
