Heads up Volunteers from Mindanao!
iVolunteer Philippines is looking for a Communication and Operations Support to assist in its expansion in Mindanao.
Since its inception, iVolunteer’s activities were mostly centralized in Metro and Mega Manila. However, in order to reach iVolunteer’s DREAM of having Every Filipino Volunteering towards Nation-Building, it is imperative to start building our communities in other regions in the country.
The project will last for three (3) months and will focus on the engagement and relationship-building with local Volunteer Groups, Non-Profit Organizations and Communities in an assigned region in Mindanao.
Role description:
Engage with the iVolunteer Team for the strategic direction and communication
Align, develop and implement an effective communication strategy to reach more volunteers and partner organizations in the region
Produce written content to support communications and expansion efforts, including but not limited to social media copies and accomplishment reports
Stay up to date on volunteerism trends and make recommendations to improve communication strategies and practices
Handle the team's official email and respond to inquiries, as needed
Maintain a safe record of all documents and files, in physical or digital forms
Support the programs intended for the expansion and the development of partners in the region
Competencies Required:
Applicant should be at least 18 years old and should be based in any region within Mindanao, preferably in Davao City
A background in Communication Research, Community/Social Development, Business Administration or Marketing is preferred
Good oral and written communication in Filipino, English and the Local Language
Willing to go on Field Work
Have knowledge or volunteer experience in Mindanao
Has the passion to promote volunteerism in the country
Works effectively in a virtual organization with a start-up culture and has an ability to work with little to no supervision
Volunteers who will sign up for the role shall be scheduled for a short interview between January 30 - February 3, 2023. Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for the Orientation thereafter.
