About the Project
Our organization, Binhi English Literacy Foundation, Inc. (BINHI), founded in 2008 with its vision “to make every Filipino child in school and learning well”, is actively creating solutions by providing English learning support to non and frustrated readers, age 5-10 years old, in public elementary schools through the use of its English learning kits inspired by proven teaching methodologies and training volunteer teachers to implement its programs.
The program runs for 24 weeks. Pupils are tested three times during the program period: pre-test, mid-test, and post-test. We are already near the 12th week of our program, and thus, we are preparing for the post-test. Tester volunteers will help in the conduct of one-on-one post-test with pupils aged 7-8 online. Each test is expected to last around 30-45 minutes. An orientation will be given on May 13 and May 21.
Qualifications and Requirements
Before becoming a BINHI Virtual Tester, one must pass the following criteria:
an advocate of literacy and independent learning
with keen observation skills
can listen and pay attention to important details
willing to commit at least 30 minutes of his/her time based on your chosen schedule from May 30 - June 11
must have a gadget and access to a stable internet connection
must be knowledgeable of basic apps used for online classes (Facebook, Google Meet, etc.)
Timeline of Activities
May 13 (Friday), 2PM: Volunteer Orientation (1st batch)
May 21 (Saturday), 10AM: Volunteer Orientation (2nd batch)
