Volunteer Event
Disclaimer: THIS CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS IS AN ORIENTATION-TRAINING FOR INTERESTED STORYTELLERS.
Kwentong SDGs is an online storytelling session of The Street Classroom. The stories to be retold are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations aimed to be achieved by 2030. All storybooks are learner-friendly and were reviewed by our organization to ensure that they are gender-sensitive and age-appropriate.
The project supports the Brigada Pagbasa of the Department of Education that aims to decrease the number of frustrated readers in the country. Kwentong SDGs streams live on the official Facebook page of The Street Classroom every Saturday at 9:00 in the morning.
Volunteers will be asked to select a storybook from our database of collated and evaluated storybooks and video record themselves while reading the storybook interactively. The Street Classroom will be the one to post-process the video using our standardized template for storytelling. Volunteers will receive certificates for every video used and streamed that they have created.
