Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organization for children working in 120 countries around the world. In the Philippines, Save the Children has been working in collaboration with partners to achieve lasting changes in the lives of Filipino children through development and humanitarian projects.

Sponsorship is one of the main programs of Save the Children wherein there is a special kind of giving that creates a relationship between the sponsor and the community where we work in. It provides more than the satisfaction that comes with aid for improving the health and well-being of children; it delivers a special opportunity to witness young lives lifted over time. Through child sponsorship, two lives are changed forever: the sponsor´s and the life of a sponsored child.

The work required for this volunteer program is to support activities that aim to increase sponsors’ experience through communication with his/her sponsored child or through gathering information on child progress. It is also responsible in ensuring quality, authentic, accurate and timely sponsorship communications through processing of Correspondence, Packages and special mailings. The volunteer’s duties will include the following:

·         Administer support in processing mails and packages arriving at the National Office to ensure that they are processed, monitored and forwarded within acceptable turn-around time. This includes warranting the completion of incoming and outgoing processes of correspondences at the National Office level (e.g. recording in monitoring tools, letter translations, form assemblies and dispatching). 

·         Reviews incoming and outgoing packages, post mails and e-mails for authenticity and appropriate content

·    Ensure proper recording of pouch contents being released by the National Office before dispatch

·         Supports in the completion of massive campaigns in Sponsorship, such as checking and encoding data and photos for the Annual Family Update and the processing of the Proactive Annual Letters.
