2015 Members and Volunteers Buhay Punlaan Activity
Join us at the Members and Volunteers Day at the Buhay Punlaan, Caliraya Watershed, Lumban, Laguna on June 25,, 2015, (Tentative)
Haribon Foundation invites everybody to join in our Road to 2020 activities: from Seedling Preparation to Tree Planting to Nurturing. Tree planting season is during the months from June to November. In preparation, during the months from January to May, we focus on the production of Native Tree Seedlings. The large demand of numerous varieties of native trees continuously challenges Haribon to produce seedlings in a larger scale.
Production of seedlings is being done at the Buhay Punlaan Nursery, Brgy. Lewin, Lumban, Laguna. Buhay Punlaan was established through a joint project among Haribon Foundation, Coca Cola Foundation Philippines Inc., National Power Corporation, Birdlife International and Caliraya Ecosave Inc. The nursery covers a two-hectare area, and will serve as a living laboratory and aims to address the shortage of native tree species in the country today.
Donations are inclusive of the following:
1. Transportation (van rental)
2. Entrance fee to the nursery
3. Use of nursery materials
4. Free lecture on rainforestation and Haribon membership
*Amount to be deposited will vary depending on the number of participants.
20-30 participants: PhP 640
OPTIONAL (Car Pool)
Participants who will not avail of the van rental: PhP340.00
