Hi IVolunteers! We need (more) Program Facilitators in Tahanang Balik Alay - our shelter for the frail elderly.

1.   The program facilitators will assist and guide our outreach guests, to run more effective interactions with our elders.

These well-meaning outreachers usually don't have a program of their own, sometimes even clueless on how to conduct themselves before the elders.

2.   The facilitators will provide materials to the guests, like conversation starter kits and board games.

They will also pair people up for Bible studies, youth and elder counseling sessions, and will sometimes host videoke and dance mini parties (they won't need to sing themselves, dont worry :)).

3.   We're drawing up some program plans, inspired by the Harvard University buddy program for the youth and the elderly, and also by the new students-with-hearts non-profit org in the US.

4.   Qualifications:

Just God-loving would be enough (we'll guide you through the job).

Volunteering Commitment: Just once a week, maybe even less.

The facilitator's mission is to bridge better relationships to the (mostly abandoned) elders,  hopefully to help lift up their low spirits.
