Volunteer Event
The PARC Foundation will be celebrating International Youth Day on August 10 with our PARCaralan Music Scholars in an art-filled day in and around San Juan! We're looking for VOLUNTEERS to join us for an arts and crafts workshop in the morning and a cultural field trip around San Juan in the afternoon.
WHAT: "San Juan Ka Pupunta?" is a cultural tour in and around San Juan with our PARCaralan music scholars for them to discover more about their home city and how it has the huge potential to be one of Metro Manila's next big cultural hub.
WHEN: August 10, Saturday, 1 - 6 pm
- We will hold a briefing orientation for volunteers a week to a few days before the event so we will let you know when. On the day, volunteers will need to arrive at 12 pm for a last minute briefing before the event.
WHERE: Assembly area will be here at The PARC Foundation. We are located at 494 Lt. Artiaga St., Brgy. Corazon de Jesus, San Juan City. You can easily pin our location on Google Maps and Waze, too! PARC will be providing food and transportation for everyone, including volunteers. We will be going to the following places:
- Pinaglabanan Shrine and Museo ng Katipunan
- Museo Sanso
- The Artologist
WHO: We need a videographer to document the cultural tour creatively and effectively. We'll be choosing two from three volunteers so we'll screen the applicants first. Once you apply to be a volunteer, expect to be contacted a few days after. HUGE PLUS if you can edit videos as well!
WHY: We want to be able to capture these memories on film! Along with that, the tour will also serve as a promotional material for the San Juan City Government as part of their tourism efforts so we need to make sure that people get to see the wonder of San Juan as a cultural hub through a recap video!
WHY: The PARC Foundation wants to offer our scholars with a holistic arts education as much as possible, so we want to expose them to other art forms and cultural hubs as well. By offering them a tour around their own home city, they can see that it is rich in arts and culture already. Making sure they're safe and organized is part of the job in helping these kids appreciate the arts more.
