Be the Christmas elf for farmer-communities of Greenearth Heritage Foundation!
We are looking for ONE (1) elf who will bring Christmas to Greenearth Hertigae Foundation.
If you click "Count Me In," here's what will happen:
You will be Greenearth's Christmas Elf! You (with your family, colleagues, or friends) will be giving copies of publicly available English learning materials for the kids of the farmer-beneficiaries of Greenearth.
You are requested to:
- Search online for English learning materials for Grades 1 to 12. Sample key words would be "English grammar worksheets," "grade school/high school conversational English lessons," "100 lessons in English," "1,000 English words for kids," etc. YouTube videos and the like are ideal.
- For preschoolers, sample videos could be the ones similar to the publicly available videos at ABCmouse.com.
- Download a copy of these publicly available materials to a USB drive.
- Send the USB drive to the Greenearth farm in Bulacan.
An optional add-on is that you and your friends/family may also donate or pledge any portion of the items (clothing and materials) being raised by Greenearth Christmas gifts for the families of its farming community:
- Croc-inspired sandals worth 160pesos each (Greenearth will raise 70 pairs, you may pledge any amount)
- T-shirts with Greenearth logo 160pesos each (Greenearth will raise 100 pcs, you may pledge any amount)
- Sturdy and water-proof knapsack 350pesos each (Greenearth will raise 70 pcs, you may pledge any amount)
For questions, please e-mail us at contactus@ivolunteer.com.ph. Once you sign up, iVolunteer will contact you for more details.
Why is this gift important?
Greenearth's mission is to preserve the environment, adhere to sound and sustainable agricultural practices, and assist in the alleviation of poverty through livelihood and community development.
The kids of the farmers in the community and of the neighboring areas can take advantage of the library and computers in Greenearth. However, since the farm is in a remote area, there is no way for the kids to take advantage of the learning materials in the web. The kids need to improve their command of the English language and the short break during the Christmas holidays would be a good time for the kids to learn English via contents dowloaded from the Internet. The kids who are diligent enough in their studies get prizes like the knapsacks, t-shirts, etc.
We hope that this season you and your loved ones CHOOSE to give hope to the people who need it the most :) HOHOHO!
Happy holidays,
iVolunteer Santa
