Activity: Leafleting for Disaster Consciousness
Date: July 7
Number of Volunteers needed: 25 per day
In observance of July as National Disaster Consciousness Month in the country, CDRC will conduct Leafleting for Disaster Consciousness to help increase awareness on disaster,s particularly on preparedness, prevention and mitigation. This could help remind people to safeguard their communities from the adverse effects of disasters thus promote resilience. The essence of this activity is to promote public awareness on natural hazards and disseminate information on the steps to mitigate the adverse effects of such hazards.
What can I do?
Join us in giving away leaflets in densely populated areas to raise the people’s consciousness about disasters.
Meet-up place: CDRC Office , 72-A Times St., West Triangle, Quezon City
Meet-up time: 1pm; 1-4 pm orientation
4:00 proceed to MRT station near Trinoma
leafletting: 4:30-5:30pm
What do I have to wear?
Comfortable clothes like shirt, pants, and walking shoes
What do I need to bring?
Water
Extra shirt
Snacks to share with other volunteers (optional)
An open mind and lots of enthusiasm
