What: Join us at the main program of the GO Volunteer Expo! Hear stories from our speakers about their own volunteering journey. For Saturday (April 6), we will be joined by Mika, Matt and Nina.
There are also performances from Everyday Midnight and Raven and d' Papis.

Who is Mika Ortega?
Mika is a founding partner and communication manager at WiseOwl, a consulting firm specializing in communication for social change. Prior to this, she used to lead Communications & Partnerships for the country office of Ashoka, the largest network of social innovators in the world. Mika aims to continue contributing to positive social change through effective communication solutions.
Who is Matt Vergara?
Matt is a c Community Builder, Financial Educator, Registered Financial Planner, a husband and father to 3 wonderful kids. Most of his adult life is spent in Building Communities and Program Creation aimed to uplift the lives of our country's poorest of the poor.
Who is Rayana Nina Bahjin?
Nina is a Tausug Muslim peace advocate and development worker. She is currently Project Officer for the Youth and Women Programme of International Alert Philippines, an independent peace-building organization that works directly with people affected by violent conflict. As head of the Youth and Women Programme, Nina organizes projects that support the effective participation of Moro and indigenous youth and women in social, political, and economic spheres to reduce their vulnerability to the influence of violent extremism.
Where is the talk going to be held?
- The talk is going to be held at the Stage Area of the Glorietta Activity Center.
- The Glorietta Activity Center is located at the Glorietta 2 Palm Drive entrance. Infront of Bench.
What do I need to do?
- Be among 100 individuals to participate in an intimate discussion about volunteerism through the eyes of Susan, Miguel and Bea.
- Invite your friends and family to also join the talk, as well as visit the advocacy areas found throughout the Go Volunteer Expo
Is there a fee for the event?
- Nope! The talk is for free! You can also check out and sign up for other talks scheduled for the weekend.
How do I pre-register for this talk?

- When you click on Volunteer, you are already confirmed for this scheduled talk
- You will be receiving reminders via email prior to the scheduled event
