Volunteer Event
HABITAT YOUNG LEADERS BUILD (HYLB) brings the youth from across the Asia-Pacfic region to volunteer, raise awareness, and fundraise to uplift the lives of families in the part of the world where 1 in every 8 people live in slums. In the Philippines HYLB brings homeowner beneficiaries and partner volunteers together for the cause of revitalizing and developing communities through the repainting of homes in Navotas. We aim to repaint 30 homes with this activity.
Habitat for Humanity transforms communities by providing programs for the families and their neighborhood, making them sustainable & empowered, safe & resilient, and clean & green. We only ask for a Volunteer's donation for on-site activities, your donation goes a long way as it helps fund the continued improvement and construction of more homes not only in Metro Manila, but all over the Philippines.

ON THE COMMUNITY - Barangay Tanza was one of the most affected areas by Typhoon Pedring (international name: Nesat) in 2011, leaving 1,500 families in the area displaced from their homes, left to live in evacuation centers, renting apartments and living in doubled-up homes with other families.
Habitat’s Tanza Relocation site has provided safe and decent homes for 500 to those families, and has helped them rebuild their lives after the disaster. Now, Habitat is once again assisting the Homeowners in a long-term community upgrading project, where volunteers would have the opportunity to donate and share their efforts and talents in making these homes decent and beautiful. There are still about 300 homes to be painted in the community; and, with your help, we can work to achieve this.
