HBDT, together with Pluma ni Juan, will conduct its PAGLUSONG 2019 this January 13, 2019 (Sunday). Two consecutive sessions (storytelling, book giving, school kit distribution) will be set in Sitio Balagbag-Araw and Sitio Matangtubig, Canlubang, Laguna. A target of 200 kids is expected to join the session in Sitio Balagbag-Araw; and 100 kids are expected to join in Sitio Matangtubig. With this, the organization now opens its call for volunteers.
Official volunteers of the organization will be identified as those who signed up through this google form https://goo.gl/forms/dQb1nWFDy0oA9ACi1, and gave a confirmation through a text message on/before January 9, 2019, upon a sent text message of the organization.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR VOLUNTEERS:
1. For our jeepney transportation going to and from the Sitio, 150php will be collected from each volunteer. This is for the reason that the organization has decided to not deduct the transportation fee from the fund allotted for the resources and programs of HBDT (we are hoping for your utmost understanding for this decision of ours).
2. Call time on January 13 will be 4:30 am (still subject to change). Official and ONLY meeting place is at Mcdonald's Complex, Balibago, Santa Rosa, Laguna. As much as possible, we will not be entertaining any other meet up places so as to minimize miscommunication and unforeseen hassle for the organizers.
3. PAGLUSONG 2019 will be no easy work for all of us. Expect long walking hours in un-cemented grounds while carrying heavy bags of gifts for our hopefuls (300 children). Everyone is then encouraged to be at their most comfortable attire. Storytellers are required to wear black shirts, and facilitators (all other volunteers) are required to be in white. Please also make sure to bring your own water bottles, towel, extra shirt, and ballpen.
