Information technology service overview
Volunteer is responsible for assisting and helping the IT Administrator in maintaining and providing support for all IT operations used by Virlanie end-user (staff). IT services are designed and built to reduce costs and cycle times, eliminate software and hardware failures and improve end-user satisfaction.
Role and Responsibilities
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in case there’s a hardware or software failures from organization’s end-user working station.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in installation/load of PC hardware and all software application to user’s working stations.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in network operation system and hardware (computers, printer and devices) troubleshooting.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor with current IT projects – analysis and research for solution needs.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in performing preventative maintenance and upgrades on servers.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in updating user’s applications.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in updating user and technical documentation.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in the maintenance and performance tuning of cloud databases.
▪ Assist immediate supervisor in managing, maintaining, developing, designing and updating the internet and intranet services.
▪ Perform special projects as determined by the immediate supervisor.
▪ Configure switches and routers + antivirus.
▪ Coordinate with the ISP in case there is downtime.
▪ Can troubleshoot basic error in phone lines.
▪ Can train end-user for new system applications.
▪ Create and publish interactive reports.
▪ Gain hands on practical experience to the full Help Desk roles and responsibilities.
▪ Know how to troubleshoot desktop problems for Macintosh and Windows operating system and applications.
Required skills
▪ Candidate must possess or pursuing at least Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or related IT discipline.
▪ Strong analytical and problem solving and technical skills including hardware basic troubleshooting and network principles.
▪ Ability to adapt quickly in new environment.
▪ Ability to quickly learn new concepts in terms of IT technologies.
▪ Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities.
▪ Ability and obtain and maintain a data confidentiality.
▪ Have a great/excellent teamwork, detail oriented, responsible team-player and have a good interpersonal skill.
▪ Some past leadership experience, community and/or campus involvement.
