The Chinben See Memorial Library has 6 feet worth of folders J containing 20 years worth of newspaper clippings on kidnapping. There are also 10 file cabinets full of archival materials on various topics that need to be digitized.
Volunteers will need to scan all of these documents and create an index for the database.
All volunteers will be taught to use the basics of Adobe Photoshop (if they do not already know it). Volunteers may come in to complete a minimum of one file box worth of articles (approximately 5 inches thick). From scanning to fixing and indexing, the work will approximately take 4-5 full days. Scanning will be done on-site at the library, while the fixing and indexing may be done at home.
