Edicute Incorporated, a nonprofit volunteer organization committed to promote education amongst Filipino indigenous peoples will conduct its annual Christmas Outreach titled "Edicute Ang Pasko: A Christmas Outreach for the Mangyans" on 25-26 November 2017 at Sitio Salay Brgy. Panaytayan, Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro.
Here is your chance to bring Christmas cheer to the Mangyans in Mindoro! Let's make the Christmas spirit alive in the homes of 350 Mangyan families and 400 children in Brgy. Panaytayan.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
- Join us and volunteer to help us implement the Christmas outreach. We need 40-45 volunteers to cook and distribute food (feeding program), story tell, take and print photos, conduct games and other activities for the kids, among others.
- Send your cash donation to cover for the Christmas packages* to be distributed to 350 Mangyan family beneficiaries, food supplies for the feeding program and materials to be used for the activities for Mangyan kids during the outreach.
- Provide in-kind donation like canned goods, cookies, old clothes and toys, storybooks and school supplies - anything useful will be appreciated.
- Help us raise funds for the outreach through pledges (You can pledge to our volunteer runners for this upcoming event of Ivolunteer - BayaniRun2017). Or help us in ways you can!
NOTES:
* Depending on how much funds we raise, Edicute plans to include the following in the family Christmas packs:
- Rice
- Sardines
- Dried Fish
- Monggo Beans
- Eggs
- Noodles.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers will shoulder their own transportation and other incidental expenses (Expense range: PHP 1,600 - 2,000)
To secure your slot, volunteers are required to deposit (Php900.00) for the ff.
- Roro Bus reservation - Cubao0Mansalay (One way) Php700.00
- Mansalay to community Php 50.00
- Meals (Day 1 Lunch, Dinner , Day 2 Breakfast) Php150.00
- Optional: Volunteer Shirt Php 200.00
