Kanlungan was established in 1988 to in response to the growing menace of abuse and exploitation of the street children in Metro Manila. While Kanlungan means refuge or sanctuary, Er-Ma stands for Ermita-Malate, the former red light district of the capital. In Kanlungan, children are provided with the necessary care, love, protection, rehabilitation, and education. Driven by Unity, love, respect and faith and God, Kanlungan helps improve the lives and opportunities of many less fortunate in the streets of Manila. Our programs starts with reaching out to street children through our Street Education Program.
We provide feeding activiities to more than 200 children in three different areas. Tutorial/Group Dynamics Activiites are also conducted during this feeding program.
What you can do:
-Assist the staff in the feeding program
-Assist the Health Worker in provision of basice health services to the children
-Facilitate group dynamics activities/lectures.
-Assist in the tutorial actiivies

-Lawton, Manila (Every Friday, 9AM)
-Plaza Sta. Monica, Guerrero, Manila (Every Saturday, 9AM)
-Quirino Ave. Manila. (Every Saturday, 3PM)
WHAT to Bring:
-An open and exited heart for the children
-Water
-Food (optional) you may share it to the children also
-Activity/games for the children
