Mission statement

France Volontaires Philippines is dedicated to promoting international solidarity through volunteerism. As part of the French platform for International Volunteering for Exchange and Solidarity, we facilitate meaningful volunteer engagements that contribute to sustainable development and cross-cultural collaboration. By connecting volunteers, civil society organizations, and institutional partners, we strive to strengthen the impact of volunteering in the Philippines while fostering cooperation between France and the local communities.

France Volontaires is the French platform for International Volunteering for Exchange and Solidarity. Established in 2009, it is the result of a collaboration between public institutions and civil society organizations dedicated to international solidarity. As an operator of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, France Volontaires brings together the State, local authorities, and associations to develop and promote volunteer commitments abroad. With a presence in France and a network of Volunteer Spaces across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the organization plays a key role in supporting international volunteer engagement.

France Volontaires Philippines, as part of this network, facilitates the exchange of volunteers between France and the Philippines, supporting both international volunteers coming to the country and Filipino volunteers seeking opportunities abroad. We work closely with local and international organizations to strengthen volunteer programs and enhance their contribution to development initiatives.

Since our establishment, we have been an active member of various civil society networks, including the Philippine Coalition on Volunteerism (since 2019), the National Council of Social Development (since 2016), the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry Philippines (since 2021), iVolunteer (since 2025), and NEDA’s Stakeholders’ Chamber on SDGs (since 2022).

Through these collaborations, we support responsible and impactful volunteerism by providing resources, training, and connections between volunteers and organizations. Whether through long-term volunteering programs or short-term engagements, our goal is to create meaningful experiences that benefit both volunteers and host communities while reinforcing the role of volunteerism in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
