Saving Strays is an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the importance of caring for stray cats and creating a safe, friendly, and sustainable environment for them.
Initially launched as an awareness campaign last May 2023 with Cats of Sorrento, #SavingStrays has now evolved as a Development Program aiming to help other communities in collectively saving stray cats in the Philippines.

Saving Strays aims to equip animal communities by providing programs, strategies, and implement sustainable development initiatives to build a safer and sustainable communities in the Philippines.
Why Do We Do This
It is our dream to save each stray cat and help them find their forever home so they will no longer fight for their life looking for food at the dumpster everyday.

Through a comprehensive strategy encompassing advocacy awareness, community engagement, volunteer mobilization, and sustainable development initiatives, this program sought to address stray animal welfare issues in stray communities.

Full Implementation
The Saving Strays Program has been fully implemented under the Social Innovation Challenge (SIC) Incubation Phase with iVolunteer Philippines, aimed to enhance awareness, garner supporters, and foster champions for Cats of Sorrento and Saving Strays Philippines.
The program has made significant strides in fostering awareness, garnering support, and cultivating champions for the welfare of community cats in Sorrento Oasis during the Incubation period.

As a pioneer user of the SavingStrays Program, Cats of Sorrento is a community-based volunteer group composed of passionate residents committed to stray cat’s welfare in Sorrento Oasis Community located in Pasig City.
