As a youth organization, we commit ourselves to: 1. train young people to become environmental leaders through activities and projects; 2. promote environmental citizenship in the youth sector; and 3. become the environmental youth network of the Philippines.
Davao City Youth for Green Environment is a community-based youth organization that promotes environmental citizenship among youth sector by molding them to become a catalyst of environmental change in their own localities and areas of influence to bring about a healed planet. DCYGE promotes holistic environmental youth participation in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of child and youth- friendly programs, policies and activities in environmental protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation; and disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), with the use of new technologies and indigenous knowledge, so as to promote sustainable natural ecosystems and smarter localities, biodiversity conservation, waste management and pollution control.
