Love, Girls is a queer Filipino youth-led zine project started in July 2021. It aims to publish a zine every Pride Month on Pride Day (June 28), all the while developing written content for multiple social media platforms relating to LGBTQ+ advocacy, specifically Filipino LGBTQ+ women, and working toward a more inclusive Filipino youth community.
Love, Girls is determined to empower the Filipino LGBTQ+ women youth by giving them the tools, knowledge, and advice that can guide them through the journey of self-discovery. To do this, we provide a platform for Filipino LGBTQ+ women to express their art and passions so as to raise their experiences and concerns to the public and move fellow youth to partake in LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Love, Girls aims to become a safe space and a source of encouragement for young LGBTQ+ women in the country. We promote connecting to, relating with, and reflecting on their own and others' experiences through developing their artistic expressions, literary writings, and social, cultural, and political observations.
