The Rotaract Club of Manila Metro’s passion for service and excellence is driven by Rotary International’s vision “Service above Self”. Thus, the Club commits itself to promote and support the advocacy of its sponsoring Rotary Club and District 3810, living by Rotaract's motto: Fellowship through Service. The club continuously provides sustainable projects for the community in accordance to our core values: Self-awareness, Professionalism, Integrity, Responsiveness and Solidarity. In all projects and activities, there is the utmost consideration of a strong sense of personal, ethical and social values in pursuit of the common good.
The Rotaract Club of Manila Metro is a community-based club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manila Metro, Rotary International District 3810, Philippines. The club was organized May 1999 with Hazel Tañedo-Cayetano as its Charter President. It was July 14, 1999 when the club was recognized and chartered by Rotary International during the term of then Rotary International President Carlo Ravizza with R.I. theme, Rotary 2000: Act with Consistency, Credibility, and Continuity. Throughout those years, the Rotaract Club of Manila Metro consistently creates and produces relevant projects and activities that respond to the needs of its members and that of the less fortunate. The club’s credibility and reputation has become stronger as it produced outstanding projects and young leaders in the district in which three of the club’s past presidents has been appointed as District Rotaract Representatives, starting with PP Xenia Yasmin “XY” Eranes-Vasquez, for the Rotary Year 2003-2004 with the R.I. theme: Lend a Hand; PP Rhosenie “Sen” Villanueva, for the Rotary Year 2006-2007 with the R.I. theme: Lead the Way. PDRR Sen also became the Conference Chairman when the 3rd Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) was held here in the Philippines; Next, PP and now Rotarian Melchor “Chock” Encabo, for the Rotary Year 2007-2008 with the R.I. theme: Rotary Shares. He also served as the Chairman of Multi-District Information Organization (MDIO-Pilipinas) for Rotary Year 2008-2009. Lastly, PP Jan Erwin Macam for Rotary Year 2010-2011 with the R.I. theme: Building Communities, Bridging Continents. For RY 2010-2011, the club celebrates three achievements, all of which are anniversaries of the club’s long-term projects: the fourth year of the Big Kuya Project, the third year of Changemaker and the second year of the SIKAP Project. And now on its 13th year, under the leadership of President Alia Macalawi, the club hopes and dreams that it will continue to do projects that are relevant and significant not only to the growth of its members but also to the society that it serves.
