<p>Rescue Team 926 is Committed to providing Selfless Service that Others May Live. In 2009, Typhoon Ondoy (International Name Ketsana) hit the capital city of Manila which killed hundreds of people and causing millions in damages. With officials and conventional authorities unprepared, thousands were caught fighting for survival at the height of the flash flooding. Recognizing the need for help, Carlo Valenzuela, who would eventually co-found Rescue 926, Rayan Rivera and a junior military officer volunteered at the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force at Villamor Air Base and join their rescue operations at the height of the typhoon. . Since then, R926 saved and provided aid to thousands of lives during deployments in different parts of Metro Manila, and other parts of the country like Bulacan, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Bohol, Samar, Leyte, Pampanga and Tarlac. Rescue Team 926 aims to continue its mission of helping and saving lives, increase its volunteer base and enhance its existing capabilities.</p>
