If you still want to help even if the slots are full, please text or message me. You can opt to volunteer only in the morning, the afternoon or in both. Let me know what time you can come. The daily routine is zumba at 8am, Brigada Eskwela proper at 9am onwards. If you want to donate, you can donate specifically for Brigada Eskwela until May 25, 2019.
In line with DepEd's 2019 Brigada Eskwela, ATD Fourth World Philippines in cooperation with Mariano Ponce Elementary School invites you to join Brigada Eskwela at Ponce Elem. School. Brigada Eskwela is the National Schools Maintenance Week where everyone is enjoined to prepare school facilities for the opening of the school year in June. It is top priority to maintain the good condition of schools.
No Brigada Eskwela fee will be solicited from volunteers. However, you are encouraged to give of your time, efforts and resources. As a volunteer, there are a lot of tasks that await you:
A. Help in cleaning: 1) the comfort rooms, and disinfect them, too.; 2) HE room; 3)bookshelves/shelves (dusting) and putting the books in order; 4) the canteen; 5) the drainage canals; 6) the electric fans and other dirty equipment.
B. Assist class advisers and other school staff with tasks in their respective classrooms/rooms such as: 1) putting up of whiteboards; 2) reorganizing of Guidance office files.
C. Tend crops in the "Gulayan sa Paaralan".
D. Repair ceilings with holes, clinic supplies, gutters, tables and chairs.
E. Replace broken tiles on sinks, counters, and comfort rooms.
F. Check faulty wiring and loose sockets for fire safety.
G. Repaint school walls, gate, window grills, cabinets, tables and chairs.
H. Donate. They need the following: paint, electric fans, and computers with peripherals. They also need the following school kits: learner's Kit, emergency kit, first aid kit, teacher's kit, health and hygiene kit. (Pls. text or message me in FB (Mae Ann AG) for details of these kits.
There is a lunch break. There are shops nearby where you can buy food. Please bring your water bottle and a change of clothes.
